A photograph is something that should spark something in the viewer, something that will change their senses: to bring them to that specific place and time, to awaken a feeling that might provide tranquility, joy, sadness, empathy, happiness. The photograph should change the viewer because of what they have seen and allow them to return to that place whenever they wish.
With my photography, I tend to view life from the wide spectrum of the uncommon abstract to the common what we see everyday. I employ different angles and perspectives allowing the contextual eye to lead while the camera follows. When the shutter closes, the image is trapped in memory - time stops - the expression and the moment are preserved in a two-dimensional capsule that permits others to share the experience. The end result is an individual piece of artwork that I hope all who view will enjoy.
I do take photos in black & white most of the time. There is a certain romance to a black and white image. Occasionally I’ll shoot in colour but tend to show the viewer the final result in what best suits the subject. The images displayed were taken in multiple locations including Belgrade, Amsterdam, Ireland, United States of America, and Canada.
