castings

The hollow ceramic sculpture has lead me to the next level of creating with clay - mold making and plaster casting. My first “production” pieces are a kitschy creation in a familiar form: The Elvis Bust Lamp.

I have also introduced another series of artwork in the form of plaster hands that are wall mounted and used as lighting wall sconces.

I made a custom one-off piece for a local charity that wasn’t as successful as some hoped for. This is a large 8” diameter Christmas ornament. As most art work on the site, it is still available for purchase.

The last piece, though not a casting, is put here for your enjoyment. It was an idea I had for something thought provoking and as my first interactive piece. It was fun watching people from afar manipulating the piece, discovering the images, and finally coming the conclusion of what the piece represented.
